I bought them over the internet from a place called PSI Tuning in Newcastle. They were breaking a TT at the time and iirc I paid £100 for the callipers, carriers and pads.

I had Ad Lav old brakes minus the calipers which has caused a problem cos no one wants to sell me the calipers as everyone argues over what ones to get! Have been sat in a box for nearly a year cos of this. Gaz Jones from here fitted the upgrade to two FRs and said you definetly need bigger calipers. He told me Mk4 golf 288 ones will fit but I cannot find anyone willing to sell me the calipers alone so may consider selling and buying a whole kit myself!

haha ive got a deal going through at the moment with a guy in somerset ;)

Is that the red ones off ebay? If so I was watching them too!

Aimez - I've found that too. No one wants to break it down. So much so I've ended up buying two hole Audi TT front hub assemblies!

These are the parts required for a 312 mm front conversion. The part numbers are Skoda ones because that's what i used:
Left brake caliper housing 1U0 615 123
Right brake caliper housing 1U0 615 124
Brake disc (ventilated) 8N0 615 301 A - Pair
1 set: brake pads with wear indicator for disc brake 1J0 698 151 M
Brake carrier with pad retaining pin 1U0 615 125 - Pair
It is advisable to use the longer Octavia vRS/Audi TT brake hoses when fitting the kit -
Brake hose 1J0 611 701 G - Pair

It is also possible to fit 312mm Brakes to a car that doesn’t have the 288mm brakes as standard but you would require:
Wheel bearing housing left 6Q0 407 255 S
Wheel bearing housing right 6Q0 407 256 S
Wheel hub with bearing 72mm 6Q0 407 621 AJ - Pair

If you want them new it could add up to quite big numbers... aproaching Brembo's Junior kit...

Great thanks!
When you say caliper housing do you mean carrier or are they just the calipers themselves?
Does anyone recommend I replace these (yes they need cleaning up a bit) but just thught people in this thread would know if they should be replaced?

The 312mm setup that I bought came with some used pads. They've got a fair amount of life left in them, but I cannot make out what make they are. Have yours got any manufacturer stamps on them? Should be written on the pad without the metal part attached.
