I did used to just buy a shelf of MDF from B&Q, then buy some carpet from halfords, and cut/make the shelf myself, but It does not look authentic, a stealth shelf looks better!

I might just pay the £20 for them to cut it that way I can just plug the speakers in and go!

I was thinking of Rockford Fosgate 6x9's or Alpine, Pioneer or Kicker.

How do they handle bass? Like from RNB? Bear in mind this is not for cruising around at full volume trying to impress 'da burds' it's just for decent SQ in the car.

Brands mentioned have undoubted quality but come with a price tag, thats why I suggested Pioneer. Have done 100's of installs using these unamplified and had no complaints.

un-amped is somtimes better due to no interference but no were near the quality or loudness... i so have to sort my interference out! doing my nut! umm hondas you say well maybe.... lol i do quite like them well certain models....
