80mm tips are now a must for LCR's

i dont doubt the badge tip is better, but is it worth the extra price, that was my question, plus i got the tip in the group buy, ill happily save £80 for a couple bhp

Well, when you put it like that! I was just looking through the SFS group buy. How come one chap has waited weeks for his and still not got it??? Is it bescause he wants a red one? As thats the colour i'd want aswell.

Out of interest why are you planning on getting new pistons as well as rods?
OE pistons are rated to circa 600hp and if only going stage 2 is it worth it?
As for figures from mapping, with just a 80mm inlet and map i'd be expecting 270bhp.
I'm running just a normal forge TIP on OE map and airflow from logs workout at 249hp then hit limp mode so 250 from maps seem a bit low

Yeah i was on my crap map and low down was a noticeable difference.

I've got the 3" sfs TIP which made 285bhp and 320ft/lbs after a custom map by the man from Hinckly, since then the car went pop so its back with him at the min having rods and valves done, but also having the new manifold and 3" dp fitted and just for a little extra kick a wet NOS kit

firstly because and going rebore the spare amk block i'm getting to 83mm instead of 81mm so standard pistons won't do and standard pistons i wouldn't push past 400 personally i'm going k04 hybrid firstly but later i no i would change to big turbo so just covering that aspect from early

As people say it depends what Rollers you hit up!

I got the B5 V2 TIP, Miltek cat back with de-cat and I only made 255bhp on Bills rollers but could clearly see that the TIP was doing a good job because I was only producing 1.2 bar of boost

I'll hopefully get it dynod on a dyno day else where & I bet it will be more, only problem with these Rollers is each one is totally different!!

indeed tom i have no doubt that sfs tip will flow more the b5 tip (v1) but v2 is another story i personally the desaign on v2 will give it that little bit extra but for maybe 1-2bhp can't justify the price to be honest

that'll be yours that they had to get out to map mine saturday then, your manifold looks good

80 not 800. Plus sfs is 3" not 80 mm

Wasn't amd mate, it was the group buy order they made in a batch and mine fell after this batch as I didn't quite get in on the group buy in time.

No matter now it's going to be on the car this weekend

fair enough, the thing was a bit of a shambles for some, i got mine fast so not complaining. Deal with sfs direct, you get it cheaper than list price any way, not far off of the group buy, not trying to put amd down in any way as they were spot on for me
