You should beable to get one from the sale in january from the dealer on here. Probably beable to pick one up for about £3 rather than paying the extortionet prices some ebayers think there worth. I remember seeing a set of two on there for a buy it now price of £25 :wtf:
Be good to see what it would look like on the grill though, although not entirely sure they'll stay on the front.

sir sparkster has one there im pretty sure ask him for some pics

well just ordered a polo rear aero wiper and a sunglasses holder off vagparts so lets hope its easy to fit lol

Which sunglasses holder did you order - I see plenty of them on the site. I take it you've read the posts regarding the screws that come with it being too long and putting dents in the roof. You any ideas on how this is overcome - using the grab handle screws or cutting the supplied ones?

Maybe Tigor can help us out here - I see he's done it.

Cheers.

When I fitted a sunglass holder to my mk4 polo I just used the origenal screws from the car I'd guess that should work on the Ibiza as well.

My FR TDI was debadged by the previous owner, who also attached an FR badge in the bottom-right of the tailgate. I quite like it like that; personally I think it looks a bit odd having something centred in the middle of the tailgate.

I love the interior light thing.......:D Will they fit on any ibiza?

They fit the MK4 (obviously) and I'm sure they would fit the MK3 (IIRC they have the worst interior light ever!) - not sure about the MK2 though.

What model do you have?

How easy was the light to fit?? does it envolve cutting wires.

It is relativly straight forward and does involve cutting of wires although I suppose you could always leave the original plug on and scotch lock the new wires on (could be struggling for space doing this though). You will also need to run a wire from the fusebox to the light in order to power the red led's. You also need to trim some of the plastic off of the new light if you have the alarm sensor mounted in the grill behind the interior light. It took me around 30 mins along with the help of Foxy's guide (which is on here somewhere although it is for a Leon).

If your going to do it give me a shout and i'll keep you right with the wire colours etc.

Cheers.

Hello there, nice mods I have debadged mine, then rebadged it up,

aka FR badges no longer on B pillar, instead now under indicators and one on the front FR grill.

Seat & Ibiza badges are gone....

and the TDi badge is also gone, but replaced with two other TDi badges underneath the colour coded door moulding on the rear quarter panel!

Here are some pics...

Ive got a Mk4!

So its easy for someone who knows what they are doing then?

Yep - if you can cut and join wires then it's simple. If your going to fit one I can let you know what wires go where and the problems I had getting it to fit. Only problem is that I keep looking at it whilst driving along!!!!

Cheers.

Just a quick question, where did you get the W8 interior light from and how much?

Local VW dealer. Price for the Light, Plug and wiring for the plug was about £37. The part numbers are on Foxy's guide - a search for interior light should bring it up.

Cheers.

BJM.....did you order the 2 wires as the instructions said?? If so did you find that 2 of the ends were larger and didnt fit right the way into the new plug??

Yes Mate - ordered the two wires as per the guide. Both of the ends were exactly the same and fitted in the plug correctly - clipped all the way in. I take it you've been gven the wrong ones?

Its blue/white its an end wire on the dimmer plug-the other end has a brown wire.

Yeah i seem to have got the wrong wires-got it working but when i pushed it up into the roof i think the roof skin has touched the PCB on the unit causing 2 tracks to join. My bulbs dont work now!! Just the LEDs
