Most likely a dodgy MAF or an abs wheel sensor problem. Is the car in limp mode? If you have VAG com id give it a scan

You would know if you had limp mode,

Had these lights for ages, you need ABS sensors, just replaced mine and all is good.

Mines been on for a while,just need to get my ass in gear to buy new sensor.

its all good now they have just gone off. i need new brakes do u think this is what it cud of bin

They will do that periodically for a while but you will have a knackered sensor somewhere.

try getting them off in oone piece i mean try and give them a clean and see if that works. Not being funny but do you have ABS just now?

My ABS/TCS lights are on, scanned it with VAG com and it was a front wheel speed sensor. Ordered one for £25, job done, just need good weather to get it fitted!

Its probs just the time of year bits of grit and stuff getting into ur sensor then getting washed off again mine has done it a few times wait till better weather and c whats what from there

eurocarparts bud, just out your reg number in and look under brakes and its a wheel speed sensor

I just bought a new maf and abs sensors because i read this forum about the traction controll light.I have now fitted both and still light is on any other ideas???????????????????????????????????????????????

use a code reader (£20 off fleebay) and scan your engine and ABS control modules.

I just had this problem on mine. No engine fault codes but fault code on BAS says front left abs sensor faulty. I have replaced this and all is good no more lights.

The best tool you can have for these style cars is A code reader the best being VAGcom/vcds.

same here mate i left mine for ages hopefully another one doesn't go had to give it a shave to get it to fit pain to get out aswel

problem sorted now stuck it in for mot and the sorted it ma calipers were sticking the garage striped and cleaned them whalla no more lights
