FINALLLLYYYYY! Car is completely built and on the road, went for its first drive last night, sounds beautiful! I7m running the engine in so won't see its full potential for a while. Will be doing a lot of logs and getting the map right this week.
Need to get rid of the koni FSD and Eibach springs. Found out that the FSD's are not even for my car, they are for all models except mine hence why they were so soft. Will be ordering KW coilovers soon but the ones I want are 700 odd quid...Maybe a few weeks wait before them.
I'll pop up what I'm running engine wise and pics soon!

ARRRGGHH!! I don't know what happened to my pictures but they have managed to vanish from my memory card, so i only have a few off my phone.

I wanted to re-build for a number of reasons, first was i knew my clutch had messed up so it had to get the gearbox out anyway and i also wanted to put bigger pistons in too so thought it was time to get on with it!
After taking the engine out i got the gearbox out to find these disturbing images;

And it put a lovely hole in my box;

I spent a lot of hard work and time (not to forget money) on this rebuild and I have to say I am well pleased. Going to be working on the map to get it perfect, the map on it just now is working great tho. Currently boosting at 2bar, peaking at 2.25 but brings pulls back and holds at 2bar. Oil temperature keeps well within limits, 90-110*C and oil pressure is a decent 4bar.
The car accelerates really well, and handles great witht he Diff, ARB and strut but the actual dampers and springs are too soft so can be crashy and bouncy depending on road condition.
Got all my sounds done too :)
I will be busy logging data and working this week too so wont get more pics till the weekend!

Very similar spec to mine. Guess your running standard valves?

You on a cut and shut cast mani or tubular? I was going to use a Newman cam in my engine build but upon recieving it sent it straight back, as the quality of the work was terrible. Still had burrs on the edge of the lobes!

What you estimating power at? I'd estimate mine to be around 280.

I dont want to say power figures untill my map is finalised (almost there) then I'll get it RR'd and compare it to my estimations.
I gave Newmans a spec to make my cam to, and to be honest I was not overly pleased with it but because it was custom I couldn't do much. I have a new head at the moment which has been fully ported by a guy from a different galaxy :p bigger vales fitted to this too. Once I get a new cam and some other pieces I will put it together and swap with my one.
Although mine has been ported well it made more sense to get a new head and do the work to this over some months, that way i can still drive and stick it in on a saturday when i'm off :D My manifold is tubular with equal length runners but that is also getting changed either design and make a new one or get one off Ryan.
when you putting yours on the rollers?
