Need an ID-ten-T form
Fairly easy to do there are a few guides for the MK4 cupra brakes... But they can sometimes be a b***h.
sizes for cupra discs
does any one know the size for front and back discs ive just got some new ones today the front is 312mm and the back are 232mm will they be ok because i think the back ones are 236mm normally cheers

Need an ID-ten-T form
It is pretty easy to change the fronts...the calipers are pretty easy to get off and the discs are only a few bolts if that!!
the rear calipers are 2 part calipers and you will need a CALIPER REWIND TOOL to compress the rear piston so you can fit the new pads. had to buy one from halfords...was just over £20. the rear bolts require allen keys and (for some reason) mthe rear bolts where Loctite'd in and where a pain in the ar*e to remove!! took a big hammer and some strength to remove.
All in all i reckon to change the 4 discs and pads your talking atleast 2 hours but it depends how good you are with stuff like this
Dont forget to remove the cap for your brake fluid otherwise you wont be able to compress the pistons!!

Guys, Ive just done one rear pad but have knackered my ratchet trying to do the other side
(the bolt disnt turn at all!)
Am i safe to drive with a full pad on one side and next to nowt on the other? (only to work, halfords and home tomorrow)

The fronts can be *******s to do. Some of us have had to cut the pad retaining pins out. There's some info on the AP calipers here:

i didnt have a single problem with the retaining bolts and springs when changing my pads over, all came out with a single problem...had them off 3 times in the space of approx a month!! lol
good info though about the calipers!! didnt know they use the same pads as the clio v6!! would of made my life a lot easier as i ended up buying THREE sets of pads before i found the right ones!!

Strange it happens to some people and not others It must be something to do with age or the way the cars are driven (by previous owners
).Mine was over 3 years old but on about 20k miles when I changed them, so they wouldn't have been removed before. 3+ years of dust, corrosion and temperature changes must have made them so hard to dismantle!
