Afternoon chaps. I currently have a Green Dynatwist on my Cupra, and im not overly impressed with the sound or performance. Can anyone recommend a proper open air induction kit? I know the K&N ones can cause issues, are there any better ones out there? Which ones do Jabba use on their install?

Jabba use JR filters which are made the same way as the K&N but without the oil iirc. I run a Blitz Sonic on mine which works better than the Dynatwist i had on it before. I guess it depends on what you want really power or noise?

I paid £50 for the Blitz but i had the mount custom made to fit as none of them will fit directly on.

Ive heard good things about Raid but they are foam like the Pipercross stuff

BMC will give you the sound i think

the cone used on the dynatwist is a good one, so why not just remove the heatshield.

Thats what I've done, and left the cold air feed in the wing.

Well a dynatwist without the heat shield is just an open cone! That’s as loud as its going to get!

Sorry myki but I don’t believe the material the cone is made from is going to make much difference sound wise. :D

Other than the sucking sound, what sound were you expecting?

Im running a JR open cone gained about 6g/s on my logs, The spooling sound is orgasmic:D, Thats also running a froge TIP

Glassy, I ran a dynatwist but didnt think much of it, I switched to a forge open cone filter and rate it more than the dynatwist. Paid £45 for it from forge.

I get a great spool up sound now and I run a forge tip, do you have a tip yet?

I run the same set up as B3NNY, JR filter with 70mm 45 degree silicon bend and forge tip, sounds awesome! My mate runs the same on his mk4 golf and ive yet to hear an atmospheric sound louder than his!The suction sound is immense also and the filter was only around £35 :D

yeah, JR i think is just the product line.

I logged, dynatwist open and enclosed, BMC and Jetex one night and found the jetex flowed a lot more than the others.

The materials used are diferent with some being less restricive than others which is how you get the sound in the first place. Like i said before its all about how they are made
