The Cordoba was based on the previous Leon/Toledo. The older Leon/Toledo chassis went ice-racing for a while. As mentioned. Christophe Bouchut (spl?) won the championship around 2003/4

The chassis was also the basis for the SEAT Cupra GT concept car. The chassis is a spaceframe with the engine mounted behind the driver. SNBE Snobeck had this sewn up and also built other Super turisme cars such as a Ford Mondeo. No idea if it was the same chassis.

The series died in 2005, I assume, due to cost.
