APY is the early S3 210 engine. Non-drive by wire throttle, and non-VVT. I think there's EGT Sensor differences.

You could get it to fit and run, but it'd be a lot more work than an AMK or BAM

Eh, my apy has DBW and its debatable about VVT, some say it has mechanical VVT so say it hasnt got it. Also the APY block has afew less sensors than the BAM/AMK.

Errr, I might be mixing up my AGUs and APYs. Anyway. APY and AMK/BAM not a "no hassel" swap.

DBW=Drive By Wire, VVT=Variable Valve Timing. So did you have a 210 engine in before? Has it died or something and thats why you need a new one?

Yeah mate had a AMK early LCR and it dropped a rod and it came through the block, so engine is gubbed so do u think it would be a straight fit as no got the money for more hassel, thanks michael

Depends if the new apy block has esp or not, if it hasnt then your going to struggle, if it has esp then its not 2 bad but the apy block does have fewer senses than the bam/amk block so thats were you may struggle. Fverything else is the same tbh.
