Ok mate cheers for the heads up. I normally spend forever comparing everything I buy, and spend ages on the phone to people asking questions. LOL

I'll do a bit more research before getting it done.

Is the flat spot on stage 1 as well, or just the stage 2+?

appears to be only stage 2 plus.

If your near amd your welcome to come and have a look at mine or waynes

Hi full Milltek cat back exhaust, APR HPFP, APR stage 2 (revised code), Forge vacumn valve, Carbonio CAI but soon to swap to ITG. Not related but Tarox discs and pads and KW coilovers. Only thing missing is an uprated intercooler (saving but £1000 for APR !). All work / mods carried out by Awesome Gti Manchester.

But then his sig says '304bhp' (which seems MUCH lower than I'd expect), against yours at 360bhp.

No pleasure without pain I guess!

Then again, all he has perfprmance wise is a remap really as the Carbonio and Milltek cat back are not going to much if anything for performance. The fuel pump probably wont be needed with that set up.

I'd have expected the APR Stg 2 Map to be putting out more than that with their HPFP considering how many people (Dyno lottery) quote 300bhp with a remap and a filter.

True about the cat back though. Offers some sound, but all the value is in the DP and cats.

Tuning tips

Installed a Cat but it died cause I left the car windows closed, the coils I found and put in were no good either and it also resulted in my wife getting pregnant. Tried putting spacers on the wheels but I put them on the outside ...now the tyres rub in the middle

bored, can u tell?

One question though, the tunner said that the forge dv helps to hold the boost better, making the whole map smoother and therefore better. I said i had the revision d valve already and that i wasnt worried about it breaking but he said it wasn about breaking, its that it cant holdd the boost so keeps dumping it, where the forge one will hold it better so you can use it. Anyone want to comment on this? It kind of makes sense, but seriously sometimes i think people could sell me anything

I've run the Forge DV for a couple of years, it's a solid product. If it holds more boost or not is subjective really. It really needs to be logged against a stock valve for someone to say conclusively it does or it doesn't.

It's a piston type with a stronger spring so maybe it helps on high boost applications. I've not seen supporting logs, but I've no complaints on mine.

Currently APR Stg2+ 340hp

Though I'm at Awesome GTI today, and we'll be remapping it to REVO Stg2+ code later today with back to back runs.

Clutch all done, engine mounts done. Just waiting to get on the dyno, a couple of other cars are in getting coded up. Should be on soon. Interesting to see how it fairs. :)

Were you the one to achieve those figures on Awesomes Revo friendly dyno then?.
