At what stage / power levels do you need a better Intake Manifold?

Just wanted to know... at what power levels do you need to start thinking about changing the Intake Manifold on a 1.8T (225) engine?

for me, personally, 300+bhp need only apply..
other factors, small port or largeport, what size throttlebody...

If you've got a turbo that will hold 25lb+ of boost to the rev liniter then it may give you some gains, but the money can be much better spent elsewhere.
