Surely cant be a write off? what grounds does the insurance want to write it off on? However if they had decided to fix it, it might have come up on HPI as fire damaged and made it a bugger to sell.

forget what the insurance say, i would still try and fix it, diy style, i wouldnt have even told the insurance anyway

Harsh, so sorry to hear your cars possibly written off after such a small incident. Ive just gone up and checked all my fuses to be on the safe side luckily its ok.

Sorry to hear that neil, like people have said i think seat should take not of this. As i have heard of some people having changed the fuebox under the bonnet 2-3 times.
Just a thought, what parts can you sell if its a write off dont they assess how much your car is worth to give you the market value?
If its missing bits wont they give you less?
