What he said

Bilt Hamber clay is goof for beginners and only need water as lube.

Really off the wall suggestion for you - but I guarantee where bugs are concerned nothing works better.

This is a biking trick for crash helmet visors from back in the day when we used to have sunshine in summer.

Simply take some kitchen roll, wet it, put it on the area you're cleaning and leave it for 5 mins (which will rehydrate the bugs). Then wipe off. Job done.

Totally none abrasive and never fails.

The trouble is with Bug/Tar Remover or a Clay bar you will be removing any protection that is on your paint also.

Tar remover and Clay should be a last resort if all else fails as you will need to re-protect your Paint in that area.

The kitchen roll might work. Can't say I have tried that method before but just be aware of any ink patterns on the kitchen roll first as you don't want them staining your paint. I'm not knocking the method as I have never tried that before and I would like to know if it works if you use it. I would maybe suggest a steaming hot MF cloth instead tho. Just like you get in a chinese after ribs. Mmmmmm

Just out of curiosity what bug & tar remover did you use?

Lee.
