Battery light

Hi everyone the battery icon on my mk4 ibiza has recently (about 3 months) started to stay on when ive started the engine.

The light goes off within about 1 min if the car is not moving but if i start the car and drive straight away the battery light goes out when i get over around 15mph. I think this is probably just due to the cold but wanted to check if any one else has this problem or if there could be a fault?

sorry forgot to mention this only usually happens the 1st time i start the engine each day not every time i start it up during the day. Although it has happened more than once on a few occasions

Loose alternator belt, faulty alternator, faulty alternator wiring or a battery that is on it's way out.

How about the yellow wire round about the gearbox area?
