I'm running Rainsport 1's on mine atm, but I'm pretty sure you can get GSD3 in the 205/40 17's that you've got. When I finally wear these things down I might give them a go, but the Toyo T1-R's are supposed to be pretty good as well. No doubt a search will throw up some other options..
spend some money, as i have cheap shitters on at the moment and it is not good. I went up detling hill the other night and it was slightly damp, in fourth gear at 50mph i pulled out to overtake and all that happened is the traction light kept flashing up and the car lurched from side to side.
Thankfully i will have me P-Zero's on tomorrow, and have learnt to never skimp on tyres again.

look at the post in the leon section, p-zero's are shocking, get yourself some goodyear gsd-3's.
P-zero's are ok if you live in spain with hot weather, as soon as it rains your all over the place, and they wear badly leaving you a jam jar sized traction point. great ha!

Not tried em on the beezer But yokohma A539 worked well on the fiesta and was considering these for the beezer as the fronts are looking a bit tyred (lol) anyone any experience of them on a mk4?
I've been pleased with the Conti SportContacts VW finance insist on. Easy to make them squeel but they seem to grip well. A pair of fronts lasts 8 to 12k.
Might try some Toyo's when I start paying. I loved Eagle F1 GSD2s on my Scooby but they ain't half pricey.

I agree with the Conti Sport Contacts got a set on my car to much improved over the stock mich.... pilot blah what ever they where (sold em on ebay) things it came with.
Mine lasted about 14k total, 10k on the front and the last 4k slow wearing on the rear, also very good if you have a blow out or a rapid deflation as in my case on the motorway GF at the time never even realised a tyre had gone it kept the road so well.
How much do you pay for yours muddy? get mine from a mate of porka.net - performance polo club ( as i have a mk2 polo too - thats on rain sports i can deffo vouch for them specially on a smaller lighter car hell yea) Mr dubstyle his name is, gets me them trade from mytyres.net and i have local garage fit them.

No good word needed, when you need him get in touch with me and i will give you his number. He runs his own business doing VAG parts, mostly Polo stuff but he helps me alot, tell him Matt with the IBIZA or shona's bf and he will know who i am.

(dentist tells me i have an abses (not that i didnt realise by the big buldge pertruding from my jaw - so im not a happy bunny/very tired)

I'm about 300 miles short of 60k, don't think I'll finish the fronts off in time for the end of my contract

I got 4 Conti's recently... £600 for 4 corners, on contact like the lads...
I rate them higher than the P Zero's... a lot more grip
