Am I going nuts or does vtxracer trip computer measure in km's???!!!!! techie i see yours is in miles. Can you choose which you want?

Yes, it shows km and you can choose if you want km or miles.
Here the instructions
(pic taken from the car manual)

1) Hold button 4 until the distance starts flashing.
2) Then press button 5 (SET) and select the kmh function
When the car is stoped it will show the distance in km and while moving it will dispaly the speed in kmh.

Thats what the manual says to do to get from km to miles. I hope its the same for miles to km.

I am really confused when hear everywhere in this forum about MPH. Somebody mentioned that there is no mark for 50 MPH on the speedmeter? What is the speed limit in the city? 30 MPH?

In BG it is 50km/h (which is something like 30MPH) - of course, major boulevards have 50 MPH.Anyway, why do you need km/h when all your traffic signs are in MPH?!

Cheers!

Switching to KPH is very useful for heading onto the continent as almost everyone over there uses KPH.

I've known a few people get speeding tickets from the Frenchies because they were going at the MPH speeds instead of the displayed KPH speeds.

I think I will also double check with the dealer. I am almost sure the boca I test drove showed the km on the dash. Unlesh I was high at the time from the pure joy of driving the car hehehehehe. The reason is specifically for driving on the continent as the missus is from there and we make regular trips there. Believe it or not it is cheaper to drive there than fly and hire a car etc, etc!!!!! I also need to find out about doing the light conversion on bi-xenons. I believe it can be done without putting those horrid stickers on the headlights. If anyone can confirm this though too it would be great!
