hey ok well i had my car mapped friday love it but i do seem to have a problem since right it boosts to 18 psi then drops to 12/13 then boosts up to 18 again then drops the so on and so on ok i think i have a boost leak and the extra boost is leaking when it hits 18 then drops to 12/13.? also i have a fault code 17705 when i start it in the morning it goes into limp then i turn it off and start it again and its fine.?? is it the map do you think or could it be something else.???

thanks

Ginger. :)

or your split r has started playing up or not adjusted correctly. but as danny has said could be your n75.

Have you re-adjusted spliter to new boost levels?? And also as said N75 have you bypassed N249?

And Lee I still love you even if your Ginger :D

Not checked n75 well not checked anything really wanted to know what you think before I start looking at the weekend.! The map software is ssc performance tuning.? She drive lovely after you restart her from limp and apart from the boost dropping of and then boosting again.?

And thanks Sam I love you too. ;)

And dan I know but hey what can ya do.??

Try running the Split R in full recirc mate, see if that makes any difference... i cant see it doing so but just another thing to rule out.

I had to adjust a mates Split R after his remap on his golf... but only because he wanted more noise

could try taking the cover off under the bonnet and getting someone to rev it until the turbo spools... just to see if you can hear any leaking air.

i dont have a gauge so for all i know mine could be doing it!

Oh I have loads of noise. ;) I have checked dv adjusted it coz that's what I thought it was but I don't think it's that to be fair.? Will check again but it's doing me nut in as it was fine before the map.?

id probably say you have a leak mate as the increased pressure has probably found a weak point...

have you got, or know anyone local with Vagcom? might be worth getting it plugged in?

No mate but I can only think I could be my fmic piping.? Great I gotta take that damn bumper off again.!! Grrrr that sucks.!!!!

oops :(

only just noticed that fault code aswel heres what Rosstech say:

Taken from the Ross-tech wiki:

Possible Symptoms
Power Loss

Possible Causes
Leaking hoses and/or pipes between components
Check Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249)

Possible Solutions
Check hoses and/or pipes between components
Check / Replace Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249)
Check / clean Throttle Valve, do Throttle Body Alignment

Best put the 249 back on then.!! I hope I don't have to take that bumper off.!!!

Thanks mate will do that when I get home that's easy to do. ;) I hope it's just that
