Bumper mod question 4 SMIC

i done mine today as i have the day off. Went go kartin 1st place on podium get in!!!, put some shelves up, they look good and done the mods today, ill do a guide too if anyone wants it, i got loadsa pics

bought my grills from homebase, 2 9x3 grills but i cut em down to about 6.5x3, mastic'd and riveted on then sprayed with black stone chip

i cut this lil bad boy with an air hacksaw, good thing i have bodyshop tools in my lil transit connect

so quite an eventful day, win at karting, put some shelves up and help keep my intercooler....cool

I occasionally have to repaint mine as it gets a bit chipped.

I've not cut out the front, but I'm now going to tomorrow.

im going to repaint the complete bumper when i get the paint as who ever did it before done a **** job as its bubblin plus i want the black bits painted so once the bumpers off for that ill make a better job smoothing it off

but for now its good enough, plenty of air flow to keep the lil bad boy colder.



ALSO, point for anyone cutting that edge out, theres going to be a gap on the furthest left side as its where the inner moulding of the wheel arch behind the bumper, all i did was cut two slits, one at the top and one at the bottom and pushed the bit of plastic as far left behind the bumper as i could and now theres no gap and looks fine. so be wary of that

i think it will last longer than just cutting and bending the plastic which is easier to snap than aluminium plus it looks better, not naff
