ok as the title suggests,..hopefully not a stupid question......
can i put 235 or 245 tyres on my LCR?.....been told today by mechanic friend today that you can....there are various advantages if you can do this i.e more tyre should be more grip and also a nice wider stance......the downsides are tyre wall flex (is this true) and probably a failed MOT......

can anyone enlighten me?

Brett, one of our members has 235-40-18's on his OEM LCR alloys with no bother.
The thing you need to watch out for is the tyres rubbing on the strutts.

would the wall flex cause car to handle worse round corners. say i put 235 40 18 on my car would i feel much difference? thanks
Te only time I've felt tyre wall flex was on the track.
I run quite a stiff handling set up so would doubt you will feel this in normal road driving.
40 % of 225 isn't much different to 40% of 235

so with these fitted and with the spacers will the rear tyres look comical?.....i could take the rear spacers off but i dont think it would look as good.............also its MOT time surely that would fail?
