Car tints

Got my car booked in for window tints tomorrow, just wondering what people have gone for on their rear windows (dark smoke, medium, light)

its a black car as well so im confused between medium/dark, dont know which one will suit it, does anyone have a black mk4 with window tints? what have you done

mine is red had 75% on the front and 25% on the rears i think but i no ya can get done for havin any tints on the front.

I am a part time window tinter and heres a black S3 i did a while back with 20% film on the back 3 windows and nowt on the fronts. This is probs wot ur describing as medium. If u dont mind saying how much u gettin charged for ur windows?

20% looks spot on, how much would i be looking at for something like that mate on a 5 door mk3 ibiza?

thanks for the pic, yeah 20% is medium, looks good!

its £125 for full tints (inc. front windows if you want them, although they tell you its illegal and dont recommend so im not going to risk it)

Here's mine... 50% front, 20% rear and rear side windows. I don't think the fronts are as dark as they look in the photos really. Never been pulled yet, touch wood!

I have no clue about tints so don't understand why people have a higher percentage on the front than on the rear?
Tough on a black car as it can make the car look too dark overall may get these myself one day so interesting to see pics of a black car with tints post pics when you get the car back!

just got mine done this weekend...but havent put photos up....

i got dark smoke on rears and back windscreen and got light smoke on front

make sure the tinters take the glas out so there are no gaps when you put the windows down...

im guessing when you say 50% front and 20% at back your talking about visibility percentages that are left? some black cars look ace with dark tints like the ones above, but some just go over the top and can make the car look like a small van

Limo tints make it look like a van. I'm thinking of going for tints too and the 20% is a good look I think! I would be inclined to just do the rear three windows as the rozzers might pull you for fronts if they are too darkl (or they are bored!)

Would go for the same I think just worried it may make my car look too black with the dark wheels but looks good on RIch85's cupra

You must have said it right everyone else has done it that way I was being dim I didn't understand it!

You dont need to take windows out to tint to the top edge, there are very few tinters that take windows out unless they have hinges in the glass like back windows on saxo, 106 ect.
