yea ive seen your project on VAGweb ;). Out of interest how wide are your vRs wheels atm?

aimez - I will :D

VAGweb eh... :)

They are 7x17 et38 with 20mm spacers on the rear so more like et18 on the rear!

Any idea how low you car is, or did you wind the coilies down till they were touching the tyre

Lowest setting at the back - 85mm + and around 85-90mm + at the front!

Never measured it though!

Its cool being that low

Could do with it lower on the back though... like this but all the time...

That was with me and rash sitting in the boot! :D

I ran 7.5x17 ET32 wheels on my previous Ibiza for almost 2 years with no real issues.

On the front, the bumper mount on the edge of the arches had to be cut out to stop it chopping up the tyres. I thought it was the offset so I put on some ET43 SEAT Sport wheels and it made no difference.

cheers for that, ill have to do some more research into wheels then

I think that white one looks the dogs  :hide:

if i could get mine to look like that then i would....i just don't have the money

try the 16's at least i reckon mate, the 15's would look a bit small, mine came with 14 inch steelies with balloon tyres (55 or 60 profile iirc) and they looked lost in the arches completely, lowering it to sit right on those would be mega expensive.....unless you went airbag suspension  but they still might look a bit lost.....

its basically took me 5 minutes of typing to say listen to ad lav, he's right

i knw the post was about 8" alloys but i have 7.5x17" and im running the standard 205/40/17 on the front and 215/40/17 on the back....at the mo it looks quite wide! so will look better with hub-centric spacers! instead of the 8" try to find a balance with the 7.5 setup? Btw will there be any issues with having 215's on the back and winding it all the way donw on coily's??

It would be close i'd say, im running 205's on 8" and the stretch would stop it from scrubbing because of the stretch
