If they are anything like the ones I had on my Corrado (and they certainly look like it) then yes you'll need the wind back tool... £15 from Halfords IIRC

Alternatively I have one you could borrow if you're local?

HTH

yeah you do need the tool. i changed mine last month one you have that is easy. although you can make one your self like i did but to be honest its easier to buy one

Cheers Phil for the info and offer im in Kent so its a little bit out of the way, 15 quid is'nt bad and its a tool that i can use on mine and amanda's Leon

No worries matey... let me if you get stuck though as Kent isn't far and I drive J10 to J3 on the M25 at least twice a week going to work in Docklands :D

(also, and this could be useful - I have heard of people managing to get them wound in with snip nose pliars)

Done them today

Pad part number is 1JO 698 451 K

you'll need 13mm socket, 15mm spanner and THAT winding tool (20 quid later)

took me 40 mins including washing hands

The piston has two indents that match up to the tool, Plus you need to wind and push at the same time so 20 pounds saves you lots of time
