Whilst I was staying down with a friend last weekend to run the Bordon Turbo X, his fiance very kindly made me up some custom centre caps for my wheels (they have some odd fake centre bore effect thing going on that looks a bit odd). So, I finally got the centres on this morning after a claenup.

Not much to report of recent, car is currently on winter rims still:

Not had much work done, just been driving. Had a new track rod end the other week as the original was goosed after 57k, not too bad. It's in for a brake fluid change Friday, and also will need an inner tierod end soon as have a tiny bit of play starting.

Otherwise, I've invested in more detailing gear, using snowfoam to keep the elements at bay:

Weighing up whether to go Ultimate Dubs or not, may give it a full mop this weekend if it's looking like I am.

Thanks Al, I'm loving Lime Prime again at the moment, really conditioned the paint great before wax. The OZ's will hopefully be back soon, I keep ringing up Stockport Council chasing on the compo they owe me for the pothole damage, once that comes through they'll be refurb'd pronto and on the car for the other shows :)

See above, Jordan :)

Lime prime is great on DA, my paintwork wasn't too bad as I fully polished the car last year, but the Lime Prime pretty much corrected all the swirls/light marks I had managed to acquire since then. I used it on a hexlogic blue (finishing pad), I'm guessing you could use it on green or orange pad for a bit more 'cut'. I use a DAS6 at the moment, I know they're seen as a starter machine, but I've really had some great results from it, done lots of cars now.

i only used my das6 for swirls with polish have you been using it to polish the wax off then? What pads are you supposed to use for that I only got blue and yellow pads.

I don't use it for waxing/sealing, the way I see it is wax and sealing doesn't need 'working' into the paint, merely thinly spreading which is a lot easier by hand, less dragging cables around the car. Pads, it depends which ones you have as the different brands do different things, but generally you have a compounding pad, polishing pad and a finishing pad. You can get more multi-purpose ones as well. Which brand of pads is it you have?

Looks brilliant! Really like the rolling shot. :)

I see you have a Northern Irish reg, I'm guessing you bought the car in NI?

Thank you :) It came over on the boat for me haha I knew a lad from Belfast from another car forum who was selling up just as I was looking for one, so it worked out quite nicely, came with coilies and catback and facelift bumpers, so a good base to start with :)

Ah right, nice one!

Whats the 1.8t FR like to drive? Bad on the petrol?
Thinking of getting one next year when I've got 1 year NCB and am 19.
