Bought it direct from forge, its a kit with the coolant one too.

Nothing drastic to report, just replenished some of my detailing gear:

Got the car in shape for winter today, had a look at the underesaling, mainly looked pretty clean, but topped up the sills as around the jacking points were looking a little shoddy. Also took the wheels off and fully sealed them up as well.

Think one weekend I'll clean up and paint my Whiteline RARB, it's lookinga bit sorry for itself:

I did that back in the June heatwave the stuff in a tin never seems to dry fully thou or so it seemed last time I checked. I am considering doing all the inside of the arches as when I had the rusty wings it was clear to see the dirt gets in through the gaps in the wheel arches and I spent ages cleaning out mud stuck in gaps you cannot get to without taking the arch liners out was shocking to be honest not sure how these car will hold up in another 10 years!

As for the rear ARB are you bored lol no one can ever see it apart from maybe where it goes on the droplinks lol. Mine looks awful

I think the idea with the underseal is that it doesn't dry fully, otherwise it would crack and come away as it gets jacked on or disturbed. It does worry me what you've said about the arches :/ Saying that, mine lives a life of luxury compared to most I reckon...worked out the other day I only drive about 5000miles a year at the moment, mainly local driving as well, plus it lives under a car port lol

Erm was looking at my mates Cupra and he's painted his silver, looks really smart nd shows through the rear wheels/underneath too.

Maybe I need different stuff for the wheel arches, since 2008 I drive about 3 miles a day lol.

Yes you can see it through the wheels only really as I said, bit of a PITA to take it off just for that best clean up the bolts/threads first as they will be corroded/filthy and your could easily damage the threads. Withe the car lower I hardly notice the rear ARB I have thought about painting the bits that stick out lol but that a Summer job.

I dip the wheel bolts in copper slip every so often before they go in to keep all the threads in decent nick and make sure they don't seize up on me.

We'll see how bored I get at the weekend in regards to the RARB, it's my 30th birthday night out on Saturday so I don't hold much hope for it happening Sunday haha

It would indeed :)

They're apparently quite renowned for rusting, according to my mate who sells them, so perhaps as well I catch it now before it gets too bad.

Always told not to use copper grease on wheel bolts as they then can be prone to becoming loose, my wheels come off a fair amount so I clean the bolts up then.

I was on about the ARB bolts and drop links really they are always tight when I check them as they are corroding already under there!
Have a nice time you do not look 30 by the way, only 2 years 6 months til my 30th! You doing anything special?

Nothing wrong with putting copper grease on threads, as long as you dont completely cover them in the stuff..

Thanks Aimez, I'm off out for a curry and a few drinks with my workmates tonight, then off to the dogs at Belle Vue in Manchester before some clubbing on Saturday with a load of mates :)

Going to try and do my RARB Saturday morning, there may be some slippage on the timescales of this depending on what happens Friday night! lol
