Clear fault code without Vag Com?

Hi,

I want to know if there is a way to clear a fault code without using Vag-Com.
Will it automatically clear if the fault isnt detected after a certain amount of time or anything like that?

Basically my Vag Com wont work on my new laptop, so I downloaded the shareware version to test the codes, I know what caused it, sorted it, now just want to clear the light.

Any help please, cheers

Pull the battery should do it if you've fixed the problem
