CLUTCH REPLACEMENT? how much?

hi guys,
has anyone had a new clutch lately dont at a Seat garage if so how much did it cost? i know different engines cost different prices but im just after a general idea. ive got a 1.8se

Each dealer can ber diff, does it have to be a dealer who does it?
You'll be paying about 60quid an hour plus vat, and think they'll book it as a 3.5hr job!

i knew it would b more at a dealer, just tryin to find out if its worth payin sum1 to save me the hassle of doing it myself

Didn't think the clutch was that hard to do on a Leon, someone with a bit more know how than me will be along soon tho!

well my dads a dab hand at the old mechanics so i might just get him involved lol

If your dads done it a couple of times and knows what to do then I's say go for it!
Sunday morning get it done and that'll be you! Make sure you get all the parts before you start! Sound obvious but you'd be surprised - i've done it a couple of times too!

It aint to hard of a job to do book time is 3 hours 15 mins on the 1.8 AGN engine in.just take your time and if u think your goin to struggle rebuilding everything back together take step by step photo's on a digital camera.
