I do Fancy Rebuilding it my Self....or Learn too...But I wouldnt fit or time the cams up but just fit the valves...

Ie Slide the valve through the hole then spring on and cap....use compression tool then fit collets and slowly wind the tool out...Sounds simple but i know it isnt

Fitting the cams are easy with OEM cams.

I'd be more worried about gettin the valves and springs fitted properly myself.

Yeh do it yourself Danny, just take your time and ensure the springs are sat in the middle of the cut out.

Also a little tip i use is to use a long narrow screw driver and stick the collets to it using really heavy duty grease - i normally put a small amount on the face of the collet and then stick them on the valve - the grease stops them falling off the screw drive and valve.

After i did each one i removed the spring compressor and checked the gap around the base of the spring to the cut out for the spring in the head, i just checked the base of the spring was uniform in the cut out.
It is possible to get the spring sitting on the edge of the cut out which can lead to valve failure but by double checking it like i mentioned above there'll be no worries.

Plus you'll feel like a man when your done :D

Double Check and this is how it should be sat?

Yeh thats the cut out i meant - on my super tech springs i had a couple of millimetres of gap between the spring and edge of the cutout.

Can't really see if it's in right - its hard to see in there even when the heads right in front of you. Just check you can see the edge of the cut out all the way round from the top, i used a small allen key about 1-2mm and just ran it round the edge of the cut out to feel it was right.

Should be good mate.

Glad you're sticking with this even after all the grief, really want to see you get a result out of it. Result on the valves :)
