Danny i got my wot box sorted and love it but it doesnt pop like yours does in the vidoes when changing gears, is there a art to getting this to pop and is yours running standard settings?

and been told codes are from using the launch facility and its normal, if clear them and drive normal i dont get the codes,
 
Well ive done around 100 miles on it and i think its ****ed..

When the car is cold its runs lumpy as hell and missfire but soon as the 90c water gets warm its fine....Run and boost fine once warm/hot..

Im lost on what todo other than take it all apart ive be checking the timing chain today and im sorting out a compression test too...

Kinda disapointed really

Codes im getting are:


16684 P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

16688 P0304 Cyl.4 Misfire Detected

16717 P0333 Knock Sensor 2 Circ High Input

17608 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Mechanical Malfunction
 
Hmmm so hard to tell let me a have a word with my mate from amd see what he suggests , you got new spark plugs and coil packs ? he done some logs on my car last night , every thing is getting hot in mine due to my cam position sensor being fooked but we will see what happens also my maf is fooked ,
 
I would check the MAF Danny... Try a new one mate.. If you can get hold of one with a thermistor between the two contacts.. You'll know what I mean if you see it...

Have a look at Damo's Toledo. Looks like he has had the same trouble mate.. Worth a try anyways dude..

Nice one jordon lad...It shame its like this as i seen callum yesterday i was in front for ryan with the red leon...I Really wanted to nail his hat on...

The strange think is when its warmed up its rapid...I mean it actually is rather quick My afr Looks Really good on WOT And no to mention the boost its holding its just i need to sort this knocking noise out Which i think is DMF and the Lumpy Start up...

I also forgot to mention yesterday when it pop and spluttered i had no boost soon after and im getting a drone noise from the exhaust if i try and plant it...Car sets off fine and idles fine..

Il be checking the chain today and il take a pick of it...as i dont now what im looking at...

Check your coolant temps in vag com.

Start it from cold, see what the temps are, drive it and see if it reaches 90.

No need to log it just look at the blocks.
 
Danny you tried disconnecting the vvt solenoid when cold is it worth an try? Would that stop the cold start aid thing? Not very technical wording but maybe worth a try?

Coolant temps are on block 001 Danny, first column.

Sorry to hear you're still having issues, hopefully it turns out to be a cheap and easy fix.

Im going to buy a New Maf,CTS And injector seats..

It seemed better tonight on cold Phase running as you can tell from the video but keep an eye out for when my Camera Phone is near the Airfilter and goes down near the Gearbox...Ignore the tapping sound near the back and side of the car its my kids playin up as i was out side ....

It actually doesnt sound like its missing does it like really bad maybe slightly my EML light does come on no more either and doesnt flash at me..

Noise is defo coming for the DMF Area for sure..

Righto bit of a update today with the weather being colder it was considerably worse on warm up put you could her it slightly chugging once hot...Same As usal tbh...

Anyway i finally got round to my mates garage and done a compression test...With the Car hot i took out the following cylinders plugs & packs one at a time with the coils disconnected and the Injectors unplugged too...So with the Foot down for 10seconds each i got these readings:

Cylinder 1, 13bar
Cylinder 2, 13bar
cylinder 3,13bar
Cylinder 4, 11 bar

So what we did was a wet test on cylinder 4 with 1 teaspoon of new motor oil and it went to 12bar .....
