Got Cracking straight afterwork tonight on the pistons Fiddled around with taking the old rings off and then set to work Cleaning them up..

Turned out really well i thought...check over the pistons for any defects and all seems fine...

Also with the huge help with BDM Alex i got cracking with honing the Block and with his stern advice thats all done

280grit....Do what alex told me todo and my Mechanic mate said the same...Yet its slightly rought to touch camera makes it way worse than it is...

Thats what they all say danny lol. Fair play mate for sticking with it. U dont fancy a ride up to petes on thurs do u while mi car gets done? Pretty boring drive their and back on mi tod. And u can be 1 ov the first ppl to feel the smf

Honing always looks worse in pics than it really is. It's just the cameras flash usually.

I thought you were getting someone to rebuild the bottom end for you?

If your dead set on doing it yourself, make sure its done right - It wouldn't cost a huge amount of money to get it sent off for cleaning properly (are you sure there isnt a bit of dirt in that oilway?) & crack testing (block, head, pistons, rods, crank)- Think of the effort, time and money spent all going up in smoke if something isnt right.

Speaking with John and Pete I need get some issues sorted first with the chassis as my car can't handle stage 2,never mind 400bhp..so I've bought some cpilovers,brakes and pads,rear strut and engine mounts...

It will defo happen as I have the bits but issues need to be sorted first...so that it can handle the power also got a smf on order....can see this being an expensive time lol..

Part of me wants powwwwwer but I feel todo it differently...am I being stupid or what?
