can these be turned off when the side/headlight switch is at the first posistion? seems silly to run them continuously.

hmm

i think i will have to mod the wiring. otherwise i can see me spending several hours in the future replacing bulbs.

No bulbs involved, the lights are all LED's, and little surface-mount ones at that, directly soldered onto the dash panel circuit board.

Ancilliary switches are mostly bulbs though. But they are easy to get at. Dash panel bulbs are a pain to get to, and the LED's have a much longer lifetime - basically they should never fail.

Just a thought, but if your car has a pot for dimming the dashboard lights, maybe you could be brave and prize this out of its housing and disconnecting one of the wires (never seen a wiring diagram so i'm not sure how it's wired).

good idea

i was wondering where to pick up the live feed from and that makes sense. i think ill link it to the side light switch.

the bulb has went/L.E.D disconected for my heater dials, have had the center console out but cant seem to get into it, its a pain
