No that's the issue the rears were fine and still are fine. It was the fronts that failed both sides.

O that's weird then I didn't think the was a issue fitting spacers on the front. Did you have 10mm all round?

So got to sorting my gauges out over the past couple of days.

Wired the looms both together where required and took delivery of my nomad double pillar pod thanks to ronin.

Popped the gauges and hoods in place roughly before mounting them with the brackets which needed shortening slightly.

Comparison to the old pillar trim.

Ran out of light when I got it all mounted in place.

Need to wire it all in now to the dimmer to match the rest of the interior when the ignition comes on and just pop the vac line on I have run previously for the boost gauge.

Hope to do this soon.

The oil pressure will be wired up and illuminate but still have to run the wiring and mount the sender for it to read at some point.

So today I got to sorting the gauges out finally.

Cut the silicone vac line that i teed off of the FPR and inserted the inline air filter:

Then dropped the dash again and took out the pillar pod. Fed the loom from below up and to the pillar area to plug the gauges in:

Then mounted the boost gauge sender and plumbed the vac one into it:

Then result once then loom was wired into the light switch we were in business:

I opted not to wore either white or ambient facia lights as I thought the red needle illuminated the gauge enough and matched the dash and interior better.

Another thing off the list.

I am still waiting for a copper washer to seal the oil pressure sender to the filter housing so currently that gauge does not read. Once I get the washer I will mount it then run the two wires and will be complete!

Thanks mate. Will be happy when it's fully wired in with the oil pressure sender but at least I have one fully working and one half working for now. Will be done in the next few weeks anyway. Then that will probably be it this side of Xmas.

So this sudden cold weather killed the battery of today. To be fair the original one lasted well for way over 10 years.

So went and got one of these to replace.

And while I had my catch can off I took the chance to drain it for the first time.

Absolutely mate was good to see that the can is working so well. The return hose was clean as anything so it's nice knowing that all the crap is being kept out now!

Thanks Sophia it's far from finished and the power is ok for now .

After the new year is in and I recover from Xmas I will be doing the following things next year.

Polybush all round with new ball joints and bolts etc for wishbones which will also be getting a clean and paint.

Relocate battery to boot and re arrange the engine bay a bit.

Uprated clutch and LSD.

Watch this space.

Got a little something for my birthday this week for the interior.

A creation Motorsport foot rest plate.

Removed the plastic foot rest.

Then drilled a few holes and bolted it on. Looks cool.

Ran out of light to get it fitted.
