Hello! I want to ask you guys about my virtuel cockpit , I bought it from a junkyard and it comes from a seat ateca,

I have removed cp with odis and many hours with vcds coding to get every error and so , it’s all fine but can you change the “startup” picture? It’s now displaying a ateca and not a Leon that I’m driving :)

Copy/paste from a Spanish forum, but pretty self-explanatory:

Hello,

Just wanted to thank you for all the information in this post and share my experience for an Ibiza my19 because I don't see a lot of information about this model.

So I did the retrofit with a pro, everything's goes well, except that my mib doesn't have an optical port, pretty sad :(

Also I wanted to ask for people who have ACC : in my old cockpit when ACC was active, when a car show up in front, it show the car depending to the real distance, but now in VC the car show always at the same distance (the shortest).
Is this a normal functioning in VC?
I know it's a pretty insignificant detail, but I like the precision :D

Thankss

Hi. Just letting you know that I have the same ACC display issue on my Leon after a Virtual Cockpit retrofit. I struggled to across any mention of a solution until I found a post on a forum for a Skoda. See the first post on 25 September 2020 on the link below. I've not tried it myself yet but I will. A Google of FPK_Functions is the same solution suggested for a Golf and as all 3 share the same system I have no reason to believe it won't work.

Good luck.

If anyone knows how to enable the 'Automatic' option in the instrument cluster view panel, please let me know. Mine just displays Classic, View 1, View 2, View 3. Also, any idea how I can switch between these views without using the touchscreen? Cheers.

Did't realise there was an 'automatic' option. Wonder if that's just for the high unit as don't remember having it on mine.

@East Yorkshire Retrofits maybe able to answer.

This isn't normally the case. However it depends which radar you have fitted on your car as to wether the vehicle distance changes on the VC
It also depends how said radar is coded.

Cheers for the reply. Fairly sure the automatic view option was there on the standard MIB 2 unit cars I've seen. It's mentioned in the handbooks of all years of Leon handbooks where the digital dash was included - see page 71 on this example: https://www.seat.co.uk/datamanual-manual/leon/my20_w28/en-uk/LEON_07_19_EN.pdf

Also, are you able to change the view of the spheres on yours? e.g. change between view 1 - 3. If so, how please? Cheers

I'll try to remember to take a look next time I'm in it.

This is done from the main screen rather than then Virtual Cockpit itself.

Go to the main menu and choose vehicle settings. Then in the top left tap the button (think its labelled view). Choose the option for instrument cluster.

If its not there its not been setup properly when they did the retrofit.

From that screen you swipe up and down for the different options on the left and right. Once you have a setup you like that you want to save hold your finger down on the view you want to set it to for about 5-10 seconds.

Thanks for the reply. I came a video clip of someone swapping the profile using the cockpit (its in Turkish, but shows switching between classic, view 1 and view 2), oddly no view 3 though. Screenshot below:

Thanks for the instrument cluster menu bit - I've got that menu. There just seemed the potential to easily swap sphere views like above. Not the end of the world though. Cheers.

Hold "view" to do that. Some of them do only have 2 views

Amazing that worked, thanks a lot !!
It was just a little bit different with my Obdeleven :
Module 13 - ACC,
Long Coding
FPK_Functions -> Change to Installed

View 3 may just be off screen and to scroll down further maybe.

Do you know how to encode the menu on the screen?

Those that will set what values will be displayed, for example, in view 1

I found the coding but after that the function is unavailable, maybe something else needs to be coded?

You need:
5F0920790A - Virtual Cockpit unit
5F0857053 1QB - the plastic trim/bezel around it
Most Fiber Optic cable for connection between Nav unit in glovebox and VC.

After that it should be coded by dealer or remotely by somebody. You have to bring both of the keys to the dealer, so they can adapt them to the new dash.

Also when you do it, bring the car to the dealer with full tank of fuel, so they can calibrate easily.

Send those part numbers to your dealer and ask them for prices and fitting.
