drivers side window not going up on its own (help)

It only started doing it today basically if you press the switch to move it down and let go it will carry on going down (as normal) but if you press it to go up it stops when i let go where it used to carry on going up so now i have to press and hold the switch.

any ideas whats happened to make it do this? (i stupidly thought it may be a fuse but i highly doubt it )

You just need to reset the woindow electrics.

1)have the window fully up.

2)Using the first click of the switch, put the window fully down, then push and hold the switch at the second click/position for 15 seconds.

3) release the switch

4) Using the first click of the switch, put the window fully up, then push and hold the switch at the second click/position for 15 seconds.

5) test!

Yep it goes as beezanick has mentioned above: They tend to do this when you've perhaps disconnected or changed the battery?

it randomly "forgets" its place and stops doing this i found of my car, at the expence of paying my dealer to "investigate" this
