not everyone's taste i know but as you said, its a little different. maybe i'm being stupid here, but what do you mean by 'is it load?'

 , he he. thought i was going daft for a minute there.

its not that loud, at idle and when driven normally there isnt much difference in sound, maybe a little deeper. when you reach around 2500rpm its a bit louder but not too loud, just a nice deep noise to it

nice mate, really like that, although i think i would try get them mounted in the bumper a bit more, maybe cut the bumper away?

It is legal. As long as its a Diesel. Numerous ones have been through their MOT with no problems.

cheers mate,
how much do you recon to get it done, can any run of the mill exhaust place do it?

Yer I just went to my local powerflow dealership. Took about an hour and cost me £120 (just cat back with a fancy tip) at London prices.

Sounds much much better.

i went to the local tuning place and they're the ones that said it would be very noisy and illegel, i don't want it soundin like a chav mobile, just a bit deeper like you guys say it's like, if anyones got any any vids with audio it would be good to hear

I wanted them moved up too, was planning on getting rear valance cut for the job but there wasnt enough room behind bumper to move them up any further.

cheers for you comments, i know i'd definately recommend removing the muffler. good sound for not so much money, i'm well happy with it.

It definately is legal, i checked with a friend who owns a garage and will pass an mot no probs.

cheers

So, do you still have a spare wheel bay etc? They just dropped down the exhausts?

i got it done today :D, sounds mint, like you guys said when driving normally:whistle: is just sounds a little deeper, but put ya foot down and you get a nice throaty burble goin on but no OTT.
as for the mot and legality of it i checked for myself at the local MOT station(not that i don't trust you guys but if plod comes calling i don't think "the guys on t'internet said it'll be fine" is a very good argument :D) and he said it's fine as long as it not too loud, also asked about aftermarket HID's and he said there no problem as long as there no more than 6000k (daylight with a tint of blue) he has em fitted on his beemer :)

dont you have to have headlamp washers to have hid's legally fitted too

cnt wait to get my downpipe and cat back not long now!!!

the law is mate that all factory fit HID have to have lamp washers (i love lamp)
but is doesn't state this for aftermarkets, he said anyone goin to his test station would passes as long as there 6000K and aligned properly, they had a meeting about this particular grey area before christmas apparently.
