on an early 03 lcr, can the traction control be manually turned on and off from inside the cabin?

AFAIK there should be a button near the fuel cap release.

It doesn't actually turn it off though...

What does it do phil?can you notice a difference in the drive?

It is noticeable in driving as you can light up one of the wheels when going round the corner, with the ESP on you can't as it retards the performance.

It depends - definitely get used to the car first, then try it with it off. It can be intrusive, but be careful, it can also bite you in the arse.

You can light the fronts, but it's also a tail happy bugger. My advice it to leave it on in the dry and turn it off in the wet, if you're feeling playful. But, and I can't stess this enough, be careful.

The LCR can handle like a barge, but it likes being treated rough, grab it by the scruff of the neck and the back end kind of follows the front. Adding a smallish rear ARB works a treat.

I used to read people saying that the TCS/ESP was "intrusive" and I thought they were tossers, no place for it on the road and all that. But now I find it is and mine's usually off. But that's after three years, 80K and a rear ARB :)

As he said, it is very intrusive sometimes. But other times im very thankful for it..lol.

Seems lately though, it spends far to much time switched off.
