Just order that one, hope it comes soon! Worth the £12 for the sweeping dials, I spent over £300 to get those on a scooby!

Is it possible to stop the mirrors from unfolding when I unlock the car? Id prefer them to stay folded until I start the engine.

Mine arrived software on disc didn't work, kept coming up with error messages, after a lot of digging managed to download a version and bingo it works
Air Blower= done
Ambient door cards = now always red
Carbon display = done
Just having a look to see what else I can do, for 12 quid I'm happy:D:D

Had another mess about today
Rear lights/drls working took a couple of attempts but working:D
Lap timer done
Mirror fold on lock
Trying to do the fuel tank capacity, but struggling following the instructions on the German site I can access the control and go to byte 10 but the have no bit 4 option, anybody got any ideas?

Hi all, didn't know whether to make a new thread for this so my apologies for the length.

So my cable arrived on friday and I've done an auto scan today on the cupra but a few errors/warnings have bottled me out of actually making any changes.

  1. Despite selecting 5F from the chassis type drop down the scan seems to have done an auto detect anyway and showed the chassis type as 5C (5Q0) in the log window obviously incorrect and the vin it outputs is not mine (I've blanked it out just incase). (see image at end)
  2. At the end of the scan it says no .ROD file found for a couple of items (again see image)
  3. The status list at the beginning shows errors for the 2 modules: (Linked to #5 and #6? strangely address 2 says OK despite the fault in #4)

Just wondered if anyone could comment on each item above and let me know if its anything to worry about and whether changing anything in VCDS might make things worse? Is this a symptom of the cable being out of date and needing the latest VCDS release (12.12.2)?

FYI for the short team I'm looking to enable lock/unlock chirp, rear DLRs, folding mirrors on lock.

Just got home after a long weekend to find the cable waiting. Will give it a try tomorrow.

Hi all, new here so just getting up to speed. I was wondering, is it pretty straightforward to make changes with the VCDS without wrecking your car as I've got my new fr arriving in the next couple of weeks and I'd be pretty keen to make a few of changes I've read about. In particular the folding mirrors at lock as the double press has always done my head in on my existing fr mk2. I also like the idea of the needle sweep, fuel tank capacity and cornering spotlights as I've grown used to these over the past couple of years. Anything to put my mind at rest before I waste money on something I'd be nervous about using would be great.

Bought 12.12.0 from Aliexpress.

Bogger of a Windows laptop I have didn't want to play ball so used a Windows virtual machine on my Linux laptop.

Changed the following

Auto stop/start turned off.
XDS set to strong.
Door cards always red.
Alarm chirp/on off

Where is the mirror fold mate? I cant find it.


I tried to edit the Extended_electronic_differential_lock but it asked for a security code. I tried 31347 but couldnt get it to work.

As the only other cupra owner I know of thats used a 12.12.0 cable did you get any of the errors/warnings in your auto scan listed in my previous post?

Itching to make some changes but I dont want to mess my car up if its already got some errors or the cables dodgy :(

Mirror is under mode of Spiegelanklappung Mirror fold link It's in German but google translate does a spot on job.

The extended differential lock security code is 20103 well that's what is was on mine and worked:D

Took the dive and enabled the alarm chirp, mirror fold and rear DLRs this evening. All seem to work fine but I noticed that the dash and light switch are now permantly lit up even if the headlights switch is set to off I followed the extra steps on this page (http://www.stemei.de/pages/coding/seat-leon-5f/tagfahrlicht-mit-rueckleuchten.php) but it is still lit up. I'll have another look tomorrow when its brighter maybe the light sensor is kicking in.

The one thing I did notice where it tells you to set the 4 options to "Tagfahrlicht"/"Daytime running lights" there were 2 options in the drop down with the exact same text, did anyone else get this? Maybe I selected the wrong one...

Short of reading all 12 pages can anyone provide a link to a cheap tried and tested cable and software for vcds on my 07 leon ref sprt?
