engine managment light (car running lean )

just back from the garage and it has shown that my car is running lean and has a sparodic fault.Any idea what is causing thhis fault as the tech that looked at it says he nedds to carry out further inspection but possibly the maf.There are no running probs with the car seems to be fine.

Sounds very much like the MAF to me mate. I had the same problem last year and I didn't notice any difference. Worth getting it replaced tbh.

any idea in the price of a maf.

I think they are around £60 from the stealers on an exchange basis.
