Hi guys,

Sorry first time post and it is asking for help, i have a 2019 Ibiza FR 1.0 MPI, driving to work a few weeks ago and the car started pulling back then the EPC light came on the dash then it went into limp mode and the check engine light came on. I plugged am ODB reader in and got a code for cylinder 1 misfire and a P2227 which is baro sensor.

I turned the car off as i got to work already, when i finished i started her back up and all was fine untill like 20 mins into the drive and got the same symptoms. I cleared the codes but the P2227 one will not dissapear. I changed the MAP sensor thinkjng this would help but it never.

Took it to a VW dealer and they seem to think it needs a softwarw update to fix it, does anyone have any idea what it could be im pulling my hair out here trying to sort it, cheers !

Update -

i put the car in to the seat garage for the software update, it cleared the p2227 fault code but the car is still having all the same issues, going in to limp mode etc …. Only code popping up now is cylinder 1 misfire, any advice ?

I'd move the coilpack from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2, see if the fault code moves cylinder. If it does then you know it's the coil, if it doesn't then try doing the same with the spark plug

I actually done that this morning with the coilpacks, swapped 1 and 2 and it just seemed to fix its self, drove around for likr an hour and no pulling back, no limp mode and nothing yet.

Not sure if the connection had came loose slightly on the coilpack ot not but fingers crossed it stays good ! Thanks for your help but man
