Yup, it was running around 200bhp. It was more of a track car than a 1/4 mile one.
Think I got 13/14 trackdays out of it in the time I had it. Never once put a foot wrong.

Call me mad, but I was looking at mk1 golfs today and also looking round scrappys on the Internet for written off 150/160 1.9 tdi units

200 bhp in a car weighing ~750kg... Rapido, plus eleventy billion mpg!

i know a company builing one now actually up north near warrington!

i can see the lure of diesel more and more now hehe

Have you got any details? If there is any threads on the internet i'd love to see them. If not I'm from liverpool originally, so could have a butchers next time I'm up. Might speak to some people and see how much a project like this would set me back.
