very nice mate! just picked mine up last friday! black 225 cupra r! im in love with it its my 2nd lcr my 1st was a yellow o3 plate 210! dam fast cars! enjoy!

Heh

I was going to be sad and have it matching in terms of make etc :) Im really after something sporty but smart so it fits with the style of the car, but under no means will I compromise safety!, you got any info on the system you purchased? any good?

Mike

Ah I see, looking at the one pic above, through the window it didn't look like the Recaro seats.....but it's hard to tell.

What is maybe more important is that the Chasis of the travel system fits in the boot ;) the chasis of mine wouldn't fit in the boot of a Mk2 Leon!.....hence I didn;t buy a Mk 2 Leon

The rear seats also have a little bit of shape to them and often the base on a travel system won't sit flat

Get yourself to somewhere half decent listen to the chatter from the sales woman and ask to try a few ideas just to make sure the chasis does fit in the boot of the car etc.

The isofix is car specific so whatever you buy should have been tested on you car.......if it hasn't there are extra tethers, legs, straps than can be fitted to the base......if the seats are too soft the car seat could roll forward in a crash (even Isofix).

It's a bit of a mine field.

I ended uo with a non Isofix Mama & Papa's system which TBH was excellent.....this was more to do with what the wife wanted than my decision.

What really pishes you off is spending £600 ish on a travel system that lasts for a year, then you need a bigger car seat as the baby has out grown it....... I now have a £600+ travel system acting as loft insulation ;)

Hi,

I might add this hasnt got the recaro's in it currently, it was a feature I planned to add as I know of a rear ended Cupra R that has a nice mint condition set of recaro's inside! In regards to the travel system Im just after something solid and safe but still really want the sporty look, the recaro baby seats do a really nice black and red on which would suit the car but I dont know anyone whos had/used one ...

Really cant wait to pick the car up this weekend, the days are dragging badly! Already got plans for a full ITX Computer install (ready to play kiddies dvd's!) I can just see me traveling to the supermarket whilst hearing something like teletbubbies! oh dear! how times change ...

I guess I just don't understand what all the fuss about recaro's is, white stitching and lumbar support

One of each

nice motor matey, wheels really look smart, I have virtually the same car, a 54 plate with 26,600miles and its up for grabs, I'm so sad I'm gonna miss her when its gone :cry:

Hi, we use a Recaro isofix seat in our current car (we are shopping for a Leon).

We started with the young profi plus rear facing and we are now using the young expert forward facing seat.

I know this is a fairly old post, but if you are still considering a recaro seat and have questions I'd be happy to try and help if I can

Cheers

Neil
