Please can someone tell/show me where on a std leon cupra engine bay i should insert the vacuum hose for the boost gauge?

ta

oh and b4 people say do a search, i have and found some useful info but when it comes to fitting the tube the only pics i can find are of a close up of an aftermarket DV

a) i dont have an aftermarket dv
b) the closeups dont really show me where in the engine bay i shoud look

on the passenger side under the engine cover (back right of where the cover usually is) there is a black valve with 3 ports, one on the bottom, one on the side and a very thin one off the top, it looks just like a forge dv only plastic.

ahh yes found it thanks, i take it the bore of the pipe must be 3mm? as the pipe itself looks a lot thicker than the 3mm tube i bought from b and q

the pipe you introduce into the dv pipe can be a little smaller/larger in diam, if its too big you might get a flickering needle on the gauge. i used a length of halfords windscreen washer pipe (the larger diam of the two they sell) along with the appropriate tpiece that they sell then cable tie/jubilee clip it tight.
ill try and get a pic of it later. its pishing outside and id only polished her this evening.

yeah i think iv got where to put it now, just a question of wether the 3mm pipe will be ok, and the 3mm t piece if it will fit in the std piping

front of the engine, under the engine cover bottom right( as you look at it) ill look for a pic, i did havew a guide up but all my pics have been removed for some reason:confused:

yeah if you could mate, cheers why there tho and not the top of the dv? as thats where most people seem to put it?
