Fitting fog light, please help.....

Have had a little trouble in getting the original drivers side lamp out to replace with the new one. I have pretty much destroyed the old one getting it out but the top bracket s still in or at least a piece of it and can only see that the unit can be fitted by taking the entire bumper off. Is this the case can someone please clarify if there is something I am missing.

What you struggling with? when i replaced mine you twist the black cover off and remove the bulb (think the bulbs have a clip over them like the headlight fitment iirc) and they just have one connection point

not changing the bulb, I am changing the entire fog light unit itself
