haha! i remember when this happened to me! Driving at night... saw the light come on & thought "ah well... quarter of a tank yet!" 10 mins later look again & think "who the hell stole my diesel!?!"

on my way over to Le Mans, I filled up the tank, which I very rarely do under normal circumstances. The needle doesnt move until it's under 3/4 of a tank in my opinion. Dies very quickly when it hits a 1/4, rubbish fuel gauge
Yeah, the fuel gauge seems to be very exponential. So when I stuck £5 in it when I was pretty much running on fumes at inters, the needle moved up to about 1/3 of tank full (about 8mm on the gauge). But when I was nearly full and stuck a further fiver in the tank, the needle only moved about 1mm. Basically when the light come on, get your ass to the petrol station QUICK!!
I think somewhere I've read there should be 7 liters left in the tank once the light comes on, which would give you about 50miles..............but thats lies I tells ya.

ran til it hiccupped in my cordoba, got 40 miles out of the reserve cruising down the motorway at 70mph. The instructions say 7litres is left
it takes an age to get to 1/4 its like its doing some magical MPG ... then it just drops and theres nothing lol... i keep it around halfway, dont wanna be to heavy lol
i think i've pushed 30ish miles out of my fuel light and that's driving like an urban terrorist.

tbh i think mine will be a different blue as yours is only a lil baby 1.4 where as mine is the big daddy two point oh!

it says 7 litres in my manual. i got 76 miles from the light coming on the other day, i was amazed.
That IS the reserve tank. Basically once you go into the red zone on your gauge, the light lights up to tell you that you are running on the "reserve" tank.

This is also referred to in some cases as the "Faithdom Light"
