Discs - http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/S...89e463f0a07fa03b043fa922c8fb58dfcedba5&000027

Note that discs are priced per disc, pads are priced for a whole front set of four, so there you go - all discs and pads for the front end for less than the cost of a pair of EBC discs.

Rears are similarly inexpensive, I used Pagid discs and pads on the rear of mine when I changed last year. Considering going back to the Pagid pads on the front to get rid of the grinding and squeaking when cold and the horrendous dust...

I like these prices better!:)
Cheers for the help.

In the end have gone for Pagid discs and pads.
On a separate note when replacing the oil temp sender found this connector disconnected. The one with the green dot. Does anyone know what it does?

Still have not got around to refurbing the rear callipers or changing front discs, pads or fit the intercooler. Getting lazy in my old age!
Have started to get overheating issues when idle or in slow moving traffic in this tropical heat wave we are having. Not sure what the issue is. Something to do with the fans me thinks. Possibly the slow speed fan?
Thought my exhaust was blowing the other day got it checked out and lo and behold it has a hole on the downpipe by the flange. The chap who diagnosed it quoted £575 to fix it. I phoned AMD and they can do a Miltek decat and downpipe for £395, so have that to look forward to. I hope it doesn't sound too loud!
On a separate note the chap who looked at the exhaust said that you “want to be careful with HIDS they will melt your plastic lights” Has this ever happened?

What cat back exhaust do you have? That's what will really affect the noise of the exhaust. But a decat does make it more vocal also for sure.

I had a milltek cat back with milltek de cat and it wasn't loud at all. I changed the milltek cat back for a piper and now it's more loud and racey which I prefer, but that's me, lol.

HID's won't melt your plastic lights, LOL. People have been running them fine on here and other modifying forums for years.

Do your fans kick in a lot in slow traffic? Mine do when it's pretty warm.

Hi Tom
I have a Blueflame cat back, which is quite loud already. Everyone said it was loud, I didn't realise how loud until I took the parcel shelf out and put the rear seats down. I dont mind the noise.... neighbours might!
I didn't think the lights would melt. Thought it strange that nobody had mentioned it on here.
Fans do come on, more so I think when the AC is on.

The fans in these cars are a bit of a design fault with the resistor sitting near the battery, I think it melts or something.. Might get mine checked out one day but the journey's I do I don't really notice any trouble.

The decat will sound lovely :D

Im hoping it will.

I have only really noticed this problem since the heatwave. My journey to work is only twenty minutes, trying to get into Tunny Wells can be a bitch sitting in traffic in the heat probably doest help.

Cheers

Hmm, keep your eye on it mate. If it seems to be getting worse may be worth getting AmD to check it out.

I think the resistors are actually in the fans themselves so when they die you've got to replace the fan. There's a thread on here somewhere about it all IIRC.

Yea I will check the coolant levels as well. Noticed it doesnt do it at night when it is cold but then again no traffic at midnight!

Will give the low speed fan fix a go I think. Another bloody job! Still have to do the door seals, keep saying I will do it when the weathers nice..... well!

Haha! Weather has been pretty good for taking doors apart and the like mate ;)

Let me know how you get on with the fan fix.

Replaced discs and pads this weekend and gave the brembros a proper refurb. Very happy with the outcome.
Just pagid discs and pads which are a lot easier to change than I thought.

Off to AMD on Thursday to get the downpipe replaced and de-cat fitted. As it has a nasty hole and my friend pointed out "car sounds rough as f#_k!"
