hi. can anyone tell me the interval change of gearbox oil on the 130 pd sport or is it a sealed unit?
I also noticed an oily patch around one of the inercooler pipes today and looks like this. is it diesel oil?

pic no worky

oily patch under intercooler ?

have you had your AC/climate on over the last few days as you can get condensation that dripps off of the cold AC pipes in that area

I've also seen other threads about this

i've had a trace of oil around the bottom hose joint on the intercooler. (SMIC  )
thought this was caused from the oil vapour from the rocker cover that is linked back into the intake, goes through the turbo and then settled in sludge form in the intercooler
seem to remember reading a thread on it somewhere?

For some reason i cant load the pics up???The build up of the oil is only on the joints between the aluminum and rubber pipes running from the turbo to the intercooler.
What about the gear box oil interval cahnge on the 130pd?

ahh right oil vapor and black shite in the intercooler is not much to worry about, most pd130's have this

the problem is that the oil/muck is leeking from the intercooler hose joints, this tells me that the joints are not air tight and that you are prob loosing boost too

gearbox oil normally is not changed unless you have a major problem with the box, sometimes a top up is needed after very high mileage

Wow thanks. I have now been able (figured out) how to get the pics up so will try it once more for good measure and see what you think. What can i do about the leak?get new hoses or are there O rings in them?

Top pic is off the turbo and bottom is off the inercooler but its the same line of pipe.

those joints are push fit held with retaining clips. my 20vt has one of these joints and the o ring has perrished and has black gunk around it. try disantling cleaning and replace seal if needed

you can get new O rings for inside the joints or just replace the pipes as they come with new joints AFAIK

even the new pipes are quite cheep, my brother got the top intercooler one for £20

Any ideas where to get the O rings from? not 100% sure of the size but could get a caliper on them. would the intercooler be full of oil if it is coming from the pipe?

get o rings from seat dealers or source your own if you like

the intercooler will have a small amount of oil in the bottom of it maybe an egg cup full, don't worry about it, it is quite normal

oil vapor from the breather pipes at the top of the engine route into the inlet so that they can be burnt off and be disposed of through the exhaust, trouble is the vapor tends to collect at the bottom of the intercooler

spose it's better than making a puddle on the floor

the part no. for the seal going on to the turbo is 3c0 145 117
and is the second pic the other end of the hose coming off the turbo?

First pic is from the turbo to the intercooler and second pic is the same pipe but on the join before the intercooler. So it goes...

Turbo, join (leak), rubber pipe, join, aluminum pipe, join onto rubber pipe again (second leak) intercooler.

If you can understand that!!lol.

second leak the o ring is part no. 6Q0 145 117
this is joint with the intercooler
