glow plug light?!

yeh i followed the guide from a vw forum, was really detailed.
just bought one of the older style switches now, see if this works, people seem to have fitted these without any problems.

That is a bummer, maybe they are selling you a clutch switch - seems that I've read that being true on some forums. I'd always recon that the newer switch would be the only one available to you from any VAG dealer.

yeh think all the switches are the new ones, but the old ones are available on e bay.

dont think there is a wrong way of fitting them either. i suspect its somethin else tho!
