Glow Plug Light

My light came on flashing earlier when i was on my way home. The car was warm... it went off about 5 mins later and hasnt come on again... Any ideas? or is it having a funny 5 mins

check your break lights, this is sometimes an indicator that your brake lights are either constantly on or not on at all...usually means you'll need a new brake switch

Otherwise if it comes back (after you've checked your brake lights) it might be worth getting somone with vag-com nearby to tell you if a fault has been logged.

Brake lights are fine, been out again and the light is still off

Get a cabe off ebay, software free from ross tech website. Google vag-com and you will find it.

The software is not free.

Its a shareware version which will let you read codes but has limitations.
