well as the topic suggests i finally had enough of not being able to remove some etching/watermarks from the faces of my rims (see pic below)
so after another hand polish with Belgom alu, i decided to bite the bullet and try the belgom on an sfx3 with the kestrel, which is unheard of? started off very very slow with just a dod of belgom to begin with to see if the pad would marr or scratch the finish - it didnt, so i continued the same process and gradually worked up to a speed of 2.5 which i felt was plenty
and the results pretty much speak for themselves.....
before halfway through a hand polish...just not good enough! (but miles better than they were)
and the finished result with the kestrel:

Good results with the machine polisher, they look amazing. You would have been at it for ever doing by hand. lol
tell me about it, prior to the DA i tried about 3 times by hand an just could not get them upto scratch
Was going to buy a machine polisher myself, doing it by hand is no where near as good, but takes so much more effort.
I've been on there a few times and had a look, great site, tells you everything. Also been on www.cleanyourcar.co.uk just not sure which package to go for.
for a seat with its harder VAG paint id recommend the kestrel kit which comes with
menzerna polishes and the Sonus SFX pads
( i used a sonus pad on the rims there)

3m blue masking tape isnt inclued iirc
