is it that the rules will be applied to all cars from 2007 or that only cars that are not competing already in 2007 are subject to changes ? dont know which....
And these cars are under constant development so who's to say it isn't actually a new car anyhow..Kynaston's car was certainly reshelled not long aso.

i would have had no problems with this, if the MSA had properly publicised (i.e. in the BlueBook) these new rules. I think they have been forced to delay their K37 rules till '09 to appease the clubmen, but then have really just gone ahead with the rules anyway.
i do however find 2 things ironic.
1) its supposed to be in the name of safety, but i can still go and get, say, a 20 year old, rusty pug 205 (made of cardboard when new!), fit the minimum spec cage (a 6 point bolt in with 1 door bar) and rally that! (and i know which car (between mine and that one) i'd rather be sat in as a tree rapidly appeared in the side window lol!
2) this year is the MSA's "get people into motorsport" year, well, scratch one competitor there! i'll just take my money and talent elsewhere. Funny how the trackday scene is bulging to the seams, but clubman motorsport is dying on it's feet, might be a correlation there i think!! And also funny how just about all the best, most popular and memorable (hence supported by fans) cars are now excluded from the new "production" based rules. TBH, if i wanted to watch a load of proddy cars race by in a dull fashion, i'd go stand by the side of the M1 motorway......
i effectively think (and i'm not alone here) that the MSA doesnt really care any longer about the impoverished clubman, they just want to deal with the big money teams and sponsors - discuss?? lol!

Hi, im another one who`s just managed to have a good read of this thread for the first time. i`ve got to take my hat off to you, that is an amazingly well engineered car from the pics you`ve shown.
How did you go about designing your suspension geometry? did you use software such as matlab/adams or did you do it the old fashioned way ala the string computer method? Also what sort of roll centre heights (if you believe in them!) have you aimed for? finally, what is your target roll stiffness?

oh yeah, whats the clutch/torque tube housing from? I was under the impression that the megane kitcars were FWD? Or was it something you had manufactured especially for you?
how is your car comming along ? have not sen progress pics in a while!
I thought for a moment you had a carbon bellhousing.......surely not ? (about to be VERY impressed if so)

Been distracted by a couple of other projects again (garden redesign & a Caterham race car build) so not a lot of progress really!
a few little things done, but a turbo oil system redesign has slowed progress a bit.
